Flexible
We understand that you want to maximise fee-earning time. We also know that clients make appointments during the day. Our 3 hour courses can be delivered at any time that suits you. They can be held after work; before work or during the day.
Simple
When you register with our website, we create a personal account for you which you can access with a password. Once registered, you can buy any of our courses on-line. When you buy a course, you can download all the case studies, handouts and trainer’s instructions. There are no fiddly PowerPoint presentations to show. An expert teacher will be available on-line at no extra charge to provide advice and assistance to your designated trainer.
Challenging
A typical course works through a case study with the participants working in teams. The courses have a certain pace and style of presentation and work on the basis that individuals can only absorb information in short bursts.
Each course, in controlled conditions, allows delegates to come to their own conclusions. They are then able to consider how to apply the skills they have learned to everyday practice.
The Trainer
Choose someone in the firm: a senior associate or a partner who you think will present well. It’s a chance for them to develop their career too. We will provide them with detailed trainer’s instructions and online help and support. For a further fee we’ll even come to your firm and train your trainer.
Value For Money
The courses we provide have been delivered to many of the best City and national law firms in the UK. The reason you can purchase them at such a reasonable price is that you don’t have to pay for the professional fees and travelling expenses of a trainer. They are the same expertly designed courses; it’s just that you supply the teacher.

A Law Unto Yourself training licence costs only £395 plus VAT for a 3 hour course.
The licence is limited to 10 delegates. That’s £39.50 plus VAT for 3 hours of training for one member of your team.
If you have more than 10 delegates, we will usually require you to buy an additional licence to run the course again. However, if you have 6 or fewer additional delegates please contact us and we will be happy to discuss a revised fee.
The Solicitors Regulation Authority
The whole philosophy of the SRA these days is to make firms responsible for their own supervision and training. The SRA recognises the costs and difficulties smaller firms face in organising compulsory training. Let us take the hassle out of it for you.
Each full time fee-earner in your firm is required to complete a minimum of 16 hours of CPD training per year. However, only 25 per cent (4 hours) must consist of participation in accredited training courses.
Because we are not providing the trainer for the course, we can’t accredit the course on your behalf.
If your firm is authorised to self-accredit, you can accredit the courses yourself directly with the SRA. The SRA will require the trainer to be suitably qualified and experienced in the subject matter of each course, which we would recommend anyway.
However, even if your firm isn’t authorised to self-accredit, you are entitled to complete 12 hours of unaccredited training per year (or 4 of our 3 hour courses), which will still count towards your 16 hours of CPD training.
Find out more about the operation of the SRA’s CPD scheme here.
If you also require external accredited CPD training, why not check out the courses we offer at CPD Training (UK). |
